Cemguard is a fire resistant mineral paint for masonry which, used with the Primer as the Cemguard System, has received reaction to fire classification: A1. Composed entirely of natural minerals and pigments, without the addition of chemicals, heavy metals, polymers or VOC’s, Cemguard is completely free from toxic fumes, both at the point of use and in the event of fire.

Whilst fire resistance may be the priority, Cemguard also offers outstanding performance as a protective coating for all masonry surfaces. Its unique formula bonds to the substrate and grows stronger over time. It is weather resistant, UV fast and highly breathable, with an SD Value of <0.01. These qualities combined ensure an extended life cycle and make Cemguard a sustainable option for building and conservation projects.

The Cemguard System is fully compatible with all masonry surfaces from plaster board to stone. On exteriors, Cemguard can be safely used up to and over three storeys. For interiors, Cemguard will provide a fume free, decorative finish in areas which require an A1 fire rating. In the case of industrial buildings, especially those which use heat or flame, Cemguard provides an incombustible, protective coating for masonry.

Cemguard excels in extreme weather conditions and locations which are exposed to water or the elements, for example; coastal locations, underground structures, car parks, tunnels and bridges. Safe for use around animals and in barns and buildings where livestock are kept, Cemguard will not release toxic gases, smoke or burning droplets should a fire break out, nor will it accelerate the spread of flame.
